Premium quality at a fair price

Premium quality, sustainable at a fair price?
Too good to be true?
Here's how:

Vertical Integration
Fashion is a complex industry with many moving parts. Yarn can be produced in one country, shipped across the world to be made into fabric, and then shipped again to a manufacturing facility where it is turned into a garment. That garment is then shipped once more to the retailer. This complex logistical web is time-consuming and very expensive as shipping fees, taxes and duties need to be paid each time.

At Forgotten Tribes, we partner with a select few factories that practice vertical integration. This means they handle nearly every step of production—from planting crops to producing yarn, fabrics, and garments. By sourcing most resources locally, we save time, reduce co2 emissions, and achieve significant savings that can then be passed on to you.

Direct to Consumer
Most companies use agents and third parties to source new designs and garments, sometimes obtaining them from a wholesaler or agent. These items are then imported and passed on to a distributor or sold wholesale to retailers. This process adds significant costs, as each party takes a commission—often leading to a decline in quality to accommodate these fees and inevitably driving up the final price.

At Forgotten Tribes, every piece is designed in-house from start to finish. Our garments are manufactured directly for us by the factory, and we sell them exclusively online. We do not wholesale or use distributors, allowing us to make significant savings and pass them on to you.

In short, we oversee the entire process using vertical factories and sell directly to our customers via our website. That’s how we create high-quality, sustainable fashion at a fair price.
